Hi Blue Devil families! 💙 I’m Ms. Morgan, the Behavior Interventionist/Counselor at Presidio Elementary & LRFMS. This year I’ll be working with students on Social Emotional Learning (SEL). ¡Hola familias de Blue Devils! 💙 Soy Ms. Morgan, intervencionista conductual/consejera de la Escuela Primaria Presidio y LRFMS. Este año trabajaré con estudiantes en el aprendizaje socioemocional (SEL). Estas lecciones ayudarán a sus hijos a crecer, tener éxito y brillar como futuros líderes. ¡Estén atentos para recibir actualizaciones mensuales, recursos y maneras de apoyar a sus hijos en casa!
There are 3 options for Counseling/ Hay 3 Opciones de Asesoramiento
♦ Whole Class Social Emotional Learning lessons given to each individual class once a month with specific topics to help students be more successful in their learning environment.
Clases de aprendizaje socioemocional para toda la clase, impartidas mensualmente a cada clase, con temas específicos para ayudar a los estudiantes a tener un mejor desempeño en su entorno de aprendizaje
♦ Individual Counseling Check-ins, which consists of between 5-7 sessions. If more assistance is needed, the Counselor may need to refer the student to a licensed therapist.
Sesiones de seguimiento individual, que consisten en entre 5 y 7 sesiones. Si se necesita más ayuda, el consejero podría derivar al estudiante a un terapeuta colegiado.
♦ Group Counseling geared to a small group of students who are experiencing similar situations and will meet once a week for 6 sessions.
Asesoría grupal dirigida a un grupo pequeño de estudiantes que están experimentando situaciones similares y se reunirá una vez por semana durante 6 sesiones.

To be seen my the counselor students must have have a Consent for Counseling form on file. (Consent for Counseling forms were passed out at the beginning of the school year.)
Also, parent/guardian will need to fill out a referal form for their child. Forms can be turned in to your’s child’s teacher or to the front office.

Para ser atendidos por la consejera, los estudiantes deben tener un formulario de Consentimiento para Consejería en su expediente. (Los formularios de Consentimiento para Consejería se distribuyeron al inicio del año escolar).
Los padres/tutores deberán completar un formulario de referencia para su hijo/a. Los formularios pueden entregarse al maestro/a de su hijo/a o en la oficina principal.
