Early Childhood Literacy and Mathematical Proficiency Plans Setting Specific Annual Goals
The Presidio ISD School Board has sent both short term and long term goals emphasizing the Literacy and Mathematics proficiency of all students as well as the emphasis on language barrier & transitioning to English -Language Acquisition Program.
La Junta Escolar del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Presidio ha presentado objetivos a corto y largo plazo que enfatizan el dominio de la lectoescritura y las matemáticas de todos los estudiantes, así como la importancia de la barrera lingüística y la transición al Programa de Adquisición del Idioma Inglés (IEP).
In conjuction with the Presidio ISD District Improvment Plan, The Resilient School Support Program has set a goal:
♦ ELAR performance of Grades 1-10 students will increase by 5% from BOY to EOY MAP by May 2023
♦ All students including Kindergarden will use the Mindplay platform to suppor the literacy and mathematics curriculum.
This goal will be supported by “All students will use the Mindplay platform for thirty minutes a day, the RTI time set into the master schedule.”
En conjunto con el Plan de Mejora del Distrito del ISD de Presidio, el Programa de Apoyo Escolar Resiliente ha establecido un objetivo:
♦ El rendimiento en ELAR de los estudiantes de 1.º a 10.º grado aumentará en un 5 % del BOY al EOY MAP para mayo de 2023.
♦ Todos los estudiantes, incluido el kínder, utilizarán la plataforma Mindplay para apoyar el currículo de lectoescritura y matemátic
Este objetivo se sustentará con la siguiente premisa: "Todos los estudiantes utilizarán la plataforma Mindplay durante treinta minutos al día, el tiempo de respuesta a la intervención (RTI) establecido en el horario maestro".

Pre Kindergarten Curriculum/ Materials: Frog Street
which focuses on early reading and mathematics literacy. Frog Street is a TEA approved curriculum which contains all the components outlined in the TEA Alignment document. Frog Street focuses on early rading an d mathematics literacy.
Although the state of Texas does not require children to attend Pre Kindergarten, Presidio ISD strongly encourages all parents to enroll their children in school at an early age to prepare them for kindergarten / 1st grade curriculum.
