SSES

Supplemental Special Education Services (SSES) gives a $1,500 one time online grant to parents of eligible students served by special education who are enrolled in Texas public school.

DELAYED OR DENIED EVALUATION & COMPENSATORY SERVICES

Compensatory services are used to help students make up for progress or skills they lost when their special education services were not provided.

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law that makes available a free appropriate public education to eligible children with disabilities throughout the nation and ensures special education and related services to those children.

Child find is the process by which districts and public charter schools identify and locate children needing evaluations. All children birth- 21 years old with disabilities or suspected having a disability, regardless of the severity of their disability, and who are in need of special education and related services, must be identified, located and evaluated.

Child Find es el proceso por el cual los distritos y escuelas públicas chárter identifican y localizan a los niños que necesitan evaluación necesitan evaluación. Cualquier niño(a) recién nacido hasta los 21 años de edad, que tiene una discapacidad o se sospeche que tiene discapacidad, independientemente de la severidad de su discapacidades, y que necesite educación especial y servicios relacionados, debe ser identificado, localizado y evaluado.
