FEDERAL PROGRAM: Migrant Program

The purpose of the Migrant Education Program is to design and support programs that help migratory students overcome the challenges of mobility, cultural and language barriers, social isolation, and other difficulties associated with a migratory lifestyle.

 

MISSION/ MISION

Considering migrant students encounter unique barriers to their education, we have planned this program with the student’s needs as our first priority. We believe that all students can learn regardless of economic status, ethnic heritage, or language proficiency. We expect every migrant student in our program to achieve success in his/ her education.

  Migrant Education

Considerando que los estudiantes migrantes se encuentran con obstáculos en su educatión, hemos planeado este programa con las necesidades de los estudiantes como nuestra prioridad. Creemos que todos los estudiantes pueden aprender independientemente de situaciones económicas, raza, culturda o idioma. En nuestro programa esperamos que nuestros estudiantes alcancen el éxito en sus educación.  

In the last three years...

              En los ultimos tres años... 

1. Have you, or someone in your family, ever traveled to other towns or out of state to plant, harvest, or process crops?

             Ha usted  ó alguien en su familia viajado a otras ciudades o estado para plantar,  cosechar o procesar sembrias? 

2. Have you, or someone in your family, ever been involved in ginning cotton, hauling hay, shearing sheep, tending livestock, picking crops, or other seasonal activities?

             Ha estado usted ó alguien en su familia envuelto en trabajos de pisca de algodon, transporte de pastura cria de ovejas, cuidando ganado, recogiendo  cosechas, u otras actividades tempoprales?

3. Have you, or someone in your family, ever worked temporarily as a farm or ranch hand?

             Ha usted, o alguien en su familia, trabajado temporalmente en un rancho o granja?
