Adult Service Center Announcement

The Adult Service Center is now accepting students for Fall 2022 classes

Register Now for:

GED Prep Classes, English/EL Civics Classes, Online English Classes

Morning and Evening Classes Available

Classes begin September 12, 2022

 

Call 432-229-1133 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM to schedule a registration appointment.  

Program testing and orientation will be scheduled with appropriate social distancing measures.

WHY CHOOSE ADULT EDUCATION?

For more than 20 years the Adult Service Center at Presidio ISD has provided the community of Presidio
with free adult education classes.

Whether you want to get a better job or have plans to pursue a college education, our classes are designed to help you build skills that can get you there. You may choose courses that feature classroom instruction by our faculty or distance learning classes that you can take at your convenience.

  • Prepare for a high school equivalency exam (GED® or another accepted test)
  • Learn to speak, read and write the English language with our ESL program
  • Improve your basic skills to help you move to a new or better job or to higher education

 CLASSES OFFERED

 

DISTANCE LEARNING GED

The ASC (Adult Service Center) provides a General Education Development (GED) Prep program where students can prepare to learn the skills necessary to succeed on the high school equivalency exam to earn a high school diploma awarded by the State of Texas.

 

ENGLISH CLASSES

The goal of our ESL program is to provide the opportunity for all students to acquire knowledge and develop English proficiency to succeed in life and work. Some of our ESL students, after completing the program, continue their education by entering our GED program, and depending on their level, enter college.

 


CIVICS AND CITIZENSHIP

Our citizenship class is intended to prepare students that are interested in becoming United States citizens. The course content will provide detailed information on the citizenship interview and test. Additionally, students will be introduced to the application and required documentation for the naturalization process.
