The four girls and 11 other students attended this trip for Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza, with sponsor John Ferguson. The students appeared to be having fun, because who wouldn’t want to miss two days of school to go have fun in the city looking at the huge skyscrapers or even the horses with carriages , you don’t see many things like that in Presidio. “It was fun seeing all the lights and the very...no offense… weird people, and because they don’t know you, you can be weird toooo!” freshmen and vihuela player, Jisell Sanchez said.
HO HO HO! The annual lighting of the city Christmas tree took place on December 9th where Santa Claus was able to come down and give beautiful gifts to many kids. Every kid that got to sit on Santa Claus's lap was given a bag of candies and a gift. All of this would not have been possible if not for the City employees who organized everything and putting up the tree. Little Jesse liked being able to sit with Santa and ask for a gift. His grandma stated " I'm glad that my grandchild was happy to come and see Santa.”

Presidio gets filled with joy as the holidays arrive. On the main street of Presidio, O’Reilly , there is a very attractive house, filled with joy for the holidays. The owner of the whimsical house must know that he has a very joyful and attractive house. “It is nice the fact that there is still people in Presidio that welcomes the holidays with such beautiful decorations. It is not only eye appealing, but also heartwarming” Senior student at PHS, Jovani Sanchez said.
